First, by the nature of deformation classification
(一) separation process
The material to be processed is deformed under the external force. When the equivalent stress acting on the deformed part reaches the shear strength of the material, the material will be sheared and separated to form the part with a certain shape and size. These stamping processes collectively referred to as the separation process, such as cutting a punching, blanking, incision.
Under the action of external force, the material to be processed has the corresponding stress in the deformation part between the yield limit and the strength limit of the material, and the material only produces plastic deformation to obtain parts of a certain shape and size. These stamping processes are collectively referred to as forming processes such as bending , Drawing, forming and other deformation processes.
二、According to the basic deformation classification
The material along the closed or non-closed contour and split the stamping process for the punching, such as punching, blanking and so on.
Stamping the material into a certain angle or shape is called bending, such as bending, curling, twisting and the like.
The flat blank is drawn into a hollow part, or the shape and size of the hollow part is further changed by a drawing die, which is called as drawing, with no thinning and thinning.
